4. Data collection on this website

Cookies

Cookies are small text files and do not cause any damage on your end device. They are either stored temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (permanent cookies) on your end device. This data is not merged with other data sources.

This data is recorded on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimisation of his website – for this purpose the server log files must be recorded.

5. Social media

Social media plug-ins with Shariff

This website uses plug-ins from social media (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, XING, LinkedIn, Tumblr).

The plug-ins can usually be recognised by the respective social media logos. To ensure data protection on this website, we only use these plug-ins in conjunction with what is called the “Shariff” solution. This application prevents the plug-ins integrated on this website from transmitting data to the respective provider as soon as you enter the site for the first time.

Only when you activate the respective plug-in by clicking the corresponding button, a direct connection to the provider’s server is established (consent). As soon as you activate the plug-in, the respective provider receives the information that you have visited this website with your IP address. If you are logged in to your respective social media account (e.g. Facebook) at the same time, the respective provider can assign the visit to this website to your user account.

Activating the plug-in constitutes consent within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. This consent can be revoked at any time with effect for the future.

6. Analysis tools and advertising

Google Analytics

This website uses functions of the web analysis service Google Analytics. The provider is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Google Analytics uses what are known as “cookies”. These are text files which are stored on your computer and which enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

The storage of Google Analytics cookies and the use of this analysis tool are based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the analysis of user behaviour in order to optimise both their website and their advertising. If a corresponding consent has been requested (e.g. consent to the storage of cookies), the processing shall be carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR; the consent can be revoked at any time.

IP anonymisation

We have activated the IP anonymisation function on this website. As a result, your IP address is truncated by Google within member states of the European Union or in other signatory states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area before it is transmitted to the USA. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transferred to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activities and to provide further services to the website operator in connection with website and internet use. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not merged with other data from Google.

Browser plug-in

You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) to Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

Objection to data collection

You can prevent the collection of your data by Google Analytics by clicking on the following link. An opt-out cookie is set to prevent the collection of your information during future visits to this site: Disable Google Analytics .

More information on how Google Analytics handles user data can be found in the Google privacy policy: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=en.

Order processing

We have concluded a contract with Google for order processing and fully implement the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using Google Analytics.

Demographics in Google Analytics

This website uses the “Demographics” function of Google Analytics. This makes it possible to create reports that contain information on the age, gender and interests of site visitors. This data comes from interest-based advertising by Google as well as visitor data from third parties. This data cannot be attributed to a specific person. You can disable this feature at any time via the ad settings in your Google Account or generally prohibit the collection of your data by Google Analytics as described in the section “Opting out of data collection”.

Storage duration

User and event-level data stored at Google that is linked to cookies, user IDs (e.g., User ID) or advertising IDs (e.g., DoubleClick cookies, Android advertising ID) is anonymised or deleted after 14 months. Details can be found under the following link: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/7667196?hl=de

7. Plug-ins and tools

Ninja Firewall/Limit Login Attempts Reloaded

To protect this website from unauthorised network access we use NinjaFirewall from NinTechNet (38, Soi Ladprao 94, Wang Thonglang, Bangkok 10310, Thailand). IP addresses are anonymised and stored locally on our server. The log files are deleted after 14 days.

NinTechNet itself does not collect private data of visitors and has no access to the log files.

Further information can be found here: https://blog.nintechnet.com/ninjafirewall-general-data-protection-regulation-compliance/

The Limit Login Attempts Reloaded plug-in is used to defend against brute force attacks. This stores IP addresses anonymously in a database.

The use of these plug-ins is in the interest of the protection of our online services. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Article 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

Using the tawk.to live chat system

On our website we use the live chat system of tawk.to inc. (187 East Warm Springs Rd, SB298, Las Vegas, NV 89119, USA, “tawk.to”).

User profiles can be created from this data under a pseudonym, whereby cookies can be used. The cookies enable the internet browser to be recognised again. The data collected will not be used to personally identify the visitor to this website without the separately granted consent of the person concerned. Your data may be transferred to the USA.

Tawk.to has subjected itself to the US-EU data protection agreement “Privacy Shield” and thus committed itself to comply with the European data protection directives. The data processing, in particular the setting of cookies, is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR from our predominant legitimate interest in direct customer communication.

You have the right to object at any time, for reasons arising from your particular situation, to the processing of personal data concerning you, based on art. 6, paragraph 1, letter f of the GDPR. You may refuse the storage of cookies by selecting the appropriate technical settings on your browser software, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website.
